Real-world surgical management of cutaneous melanoma in a national cancer center during wartime: a 2025 single-center registry analysis
Retrospective single-centre analysis of the 2025 operative registry.
What the data show
Specialist surgical care during wartime continued to include wide local excision, sentinel node biopsy, therapeutic lymph node dissection and reconstructive surgery. Within 249 predefined excisions, 220 (89.1%) underwent primary closure and 29 (11.6%) reconstruction.
- 155 WLE + SLNB procedures and 39 therapeutic lymph node dissections in the source-verified registry.
- Counts are operation-level, not an independently verified number of unique patients.
- The clinical implication is preservation of a coordinated surgical oncology pathway and the importance of specialist centres.
